Plain English first: BOXI is a free game discovery app. No purchases, no accounts, no dark patterns. Use it to find and play games. Don't do anything sketchy. That's really the whole thing — the rest is just the legal version of that.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using BOXI ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App. These terms apply to all users of BOXI, including visitors, players, and any others who access or use the service.

2. What BOXI Is

BOXI is a free mobile application that provides access to a curated catalog of third-party free-to-play games. BOXI does not require an account, subscription, or any payment to use. Features of BOXI include:

  • Browsing and playing free games across multiple categories
  • A daily streak system that rewards consistent play
  • Unlockable visual themes earned through streaks
  • Achievements and personal milestones stored locally on your device
  • Mood-based game discovery to help you find what to play

All personal progress — streaks, themes, achievements — is stored locally on your device and is not linked to any account or identity.

3. Eligibility

BOXI is available to users of all ages, though some games within the catalog may have their own age restrictions. By using BOXI, you confirm that you are permitted to access mobile applications in your jurisdiction. If you are under 13, please use BOXI with the knowledge and consent of a parent or guardian.

4. Permitted Use

You may use BOXI for personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree to use BOXI only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with all applicable laws and regulations. Permitted activities include:

  • Browsing and playing games available through the catalog
  • Building and maintaining your personal streak
  • Sharing your experience on social media or with friends

5. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to engage in any of the following:

  • Attempting to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of BOXI
  • Using automated bots, scripts, or tools to interact with BOXI or manipulate streaks or achievements
  • Attempting to circumvent, disable, or interfere with any security features of the App
  • Using BOXI in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the App or its servers
  • Copying, reproducing, or redistributing any content from BOXI without prior written permission
  • Using BOXI for any commercial purpose without express written consent

6. Third-Party Games & Content

BOXI provides access to games developed and maintained by third parties. We curate this catalog for quality, but we do not own, operate, or control these games. When you play a game through BOXI:

  • The game's own terms of service and privacy policy apply
  • BOXI is not responsible for the content, availability, or conduct of third-party games
  • Any issues with a specific game should be directed to its respective developer

We reserve the right to add or remove games from the catalog at any time, without notice.

7. Intellectual Property

BOXI, including its name, logo, design, streak system, theme system, and all original content, is the intellectual property of BOXI. All rights are reserved. You may not use the BOXI name, logo, or branding without prior written permission.

The games featured in the catalog remain the intellectual property of their respective developers and publishers.

8. Streaks, Themes & Achievements

Streaks, themes, and achievements are features of the BOXI app. They are stored locally on your device and are not transferable, sellable, or redeemable for any real-world value. We reserve the right to modify, adjust, or discontinue any feature of BOXI at any time.

BOXI is not responsible for the loss of streaks or progress due to device changes, app reinstallation, storage clearing, or any other circumstance.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

BOXI is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. Your use of BOXI is at your sole risk.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, BOXI and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of streaks or progress, or interruption of service.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of BOXI shall not exceed the amount you paid to use BOXI — which, given that BOXI is free, is zero.

11. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms of Use at any time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of BOXI after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. We'll try to keep changes minimal and sensible — just like the app itself.
